If you’re reading this I finally took the leap I’ve been talking about for years and headed off into our world to see what is out there. After saving and planning for the past few years I decided it was finally time to do what I truly love: explore the world and seek the adventures around us. The initial plan is to travel for at least a year or however long my savings last me! Last summer I fell in love with sailing and decided to make that a big part of the first part of my trip and see where the wind and waves take me.
It definitely wasn’t the easiest decision because there is never a ‘perfect’ time to take a trip like this. In the end missing my family, friends, engagements, weddings, births, deaths, and experiences back home is a part of life and just know that I’m there in spirit and love y’all!

My first few months have been spent gaining sailing experience in the Caribbean, doing certification courses in the UK and Croatia, and taking friends on charter in the beautiful Bahamas. This summer I’ll be working on yachts in Croatia for The Yacht Week and trying to not have too much fun while I’m at it. The only thing that makes me happier than traveling is being able to share and facilitate other people’s amazing travel experiences. I can’t imagine an easier way to do that than provide people with the best week of their year on the water in Croatia!

I hope this blog gives ideas, inspiration, or even just a bit of escape from your 9-5 screen staring while you bide your time for your escape to happiness in whatever form that takes.
As you read this blog I challenge you to take a hard look at what you’re doing with your life, fast forward 20 then 40 then 60 years and imagine if you’ll be content. I more than understand you might not be able to quit today and follow your dream, but you can start planning for that day right now. You can set out the steps to make your dreams a reality and know that as you progress your dreams will likely change! Really work to find out what makes you happy rather than wasting time ticking off things that don’t make you happy. If we aren’t doing what we love, then we are robbing ourselves of this one life we get.
See y’all out there!
